Dear Family and Friends,
Next Friday is a very important day for our family. We are hoping and praying to adopt a precious little girl in the next month or two. Next Friday is a court date to decide if services for her birthmother will be terminated. There are several things that could happen at court. One is that the judge can rule services be terminated. Two, they can give the birthmother two more months. Finally, they can set a trial date to determine if services will be terminated. We love this little girl so much and we just want her here with us. They are saying no matter what happens our chances of getting her are very very high (like greater than 80%).
So please stand with us in prayer over the next week. Pray that the judge would see the truth in this situation and what is really truly best for this baby. Pray for the social worker and lawyer as they present this case to the judge and request services be terminated. And finally, pray for the birthmother who is going to lose her baby. She is simply too young and immature and she has no way to provide for this baby. Pray that she will not fight the decision and that she will realize what is best for her baby at this time. The sooner we can make the transition the better it is going to be for everyone. We are putting this situation in the Lord's hands and trusting that he will take care of all the details.
